Conference “Non-Cash Payments – Opportunities and Threats” Took Place

On 1 March 2012, Lithuanian Consumer Institute organized a conference "Non-Cash Payments - Opportunities and Threats", the goal of which was to discuss the latest non-cash payment trends, opportunities and threats, to exchange opinions about possibilities for raising consumer awareness in this area.

The conference programme included presentations connected with the latest payment trends and prognoses, financial literacy, crime in the electronic field, fraud and other topics.
More than 100 participants attended the conference.

The conference is part of the project "Consumers Awareness Raising on Non-cash Payment Fraud" and financially supported by the Programme on Prevention of and Fight against Crime 2009 and the Lithuanian Consumer Institute. Project partners - the Police Department under the Ministry of Interior and the Association of Lithuanian Banks.
